It starts with a big single log like this pieces. It is about 4 feet in diameter. From that size chunk of wood this guy carves the pieces below.
This piece is nearly life size. BTW, the building in the background is made logs.
This piece was made from a single tree trunk.
I wanted this one real bad, but not $$$$$$ that bad. This artist is just outside of Anchorage on the road to Seward.
